Why you need a Day-of Coordinator

Why you need a Day-of Coordinator

When you begin budgeting your wedding, make sure you set some aside for a day-of coordinator. They will be such a crucial part to your day and you will regret it if you decide to forego having one. Most wedding planners will include it in their package and a lot even offer a package just for day of coordination.

Your wedding day will be stressful enough as it is, you shouldn’t have to worry about going to decorate the reception site or making sure the ushers all have their boutonnieres on. That’s exactly what a day-of coordinator and her team are for. All you have to worry about is getting ready and getting to the church on time!

Day of Coordinators are great at getting all of your vendors where they need to be and when they need to be here. Dana here at Love’s is great about sending out a day-of flight plan (an excel spreadsheet listing where everyone should be and when) to all of our client’s vendors so everyone is on the same page come show time.Screen Shot 2016-10-18 at 11.58.18 AM.png

Day of Coordinators are a ton of help at the rehearsal too! They will make sure everyone knows where they are supposed to go and what’s going to happen the next day. A day-of coordinator will be responsible for the majority of the set-up and break down so you don’t have to worry about it the morning of or day after your wedding.

The last thing you want on your wedding day is to receive 20 different phone calls about things going wrong. This is where a day-of coordinator really pays off. When you walk down the aisle you will have no clue that the cake was an hour late or one of the groomsmen lost their jacket and that’s just how it should be! Day-of coordinators step in and solve any last minute crises or emergencies that might come up without alerting you, allowing you to sit back, sip mimosas with your girls and get pampered.
